Artist Statement
These images provide more than a single viewpoint, forcing the viewer to see from a completely different vantage point than would be seen with a conventional photographic image. Each image was shot as a "serendipitous event," meaning that they have no definite outcome, so each image can be considered a work in progress as it is being taken. The resulting look is achieved by manually advancing the film in small increments. This, coupled with the developing and printing process results in a "convergent-style" photograph where the integration of multiple layers has been created in the camera.

Artist Statement
The series, “Editable Fruit,” is an expression of both the joy of eating and the joy of color. Using identifiable shapes and forms incorporated with bright, sometimes garish swatches of color, I define and form the space around and through the fruit. Layers of mostly transparent colors let the viewer see both the fruit and the layers that compose it, The painting becomes an expression of color, space and also an expression of fun!
