Artist Statement
It is a dangerous thing for a woman who has been locked up for hearing voices to say, but comes a point in telling a story where you have to stop trying to direct it and just do as you’re told.

All imagery 100% digital free.

Any manipulation, toning and/or effects are done either in camera (occasionally) or in darkroom (usually).

I have nothing against digital.  I do not desire to disparage, discredit, or disregard it.

I just like negatives.  I like something you can hold up against a bare bulb and see a reversed image through.  I like printing.  I remember the first time I put a piece of white paper in tray #1 and then watched an image come up.  I thought it was magic.  I remember the last time I put a white piece of paper in tray #1 and watched the image come up.  I still think it’s magic.  The concept of turning silver, a precious metal, into something more precious, the visual shadow of worlds real or otherwise--it’s the only form of alchemy that ever worked.

I think it is only fair that it be known I prefer to get my hands wet.

As to the images-I leave them to speak for themselves or remain silent.

Their choice really.
