Flats at Girard Pointe

InLiquid, in partnership with CRL2 Associates LLC and Interface Studio Architects, announces a competition to commission site-specific artwork for an exterior site at The Flats at Girard Pointe, located at the corner of Germantown Avenue and Third Street in Old Kensington, Philadelphia. The project is part of the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Philadelphiaís Percent for Art Program.

The competition is open to all artists.

Girard Pointe is an eco-friendly project of five townhouses and four condos, begun in early 2008 on an 8,000-square-foot lot bought from the city Redevelopment Authority. The site is nestled between Northern Liberties and Old City to the South, Fishtown to the direct Northeast and the Delaware River Waterfront just a few blocks away to the east. An onsite information session will take place on June 18, for any potential applicants to meet and ask questions of the designers.
