A second exhibit of highlights from the collection of over 275 objects, etchings, lithographs and engravings recently transferred from the Insurance Company of North America (I.N.A.) Collection from CIGNA to the Atwater Kent Museum of Philadelphia is now on display. Historic Philadelphia is featured in a large map indicating the location of important buildings and events. This 1947 plan, drawn for the Philadelphia Shrines Commission, supported the lobbying effort that resulted in the creation of Independence National Historical Park. Views of Independence Hall by established artists include Roy Martell Mason (1921), Herbert Pullinger (1921), Paul Geissler (c. 1928), Luigi Kasimir (c. 1950), and Grant Miles Simon (c.1955). There are pre-Civil War prints of some of Philadelphia 's most distinguished buildings and institutions including Washington 's Residence on High Street (c. 1828), Second Bank of the United States (1839), and the University of Pennsylvania (c. 1838). Also included are two painted engine panels (c. 1837), a fire warden's presentation staff (1800), and various images of volunteer fire companies in the 1800s. Several pieces of Chinese export porcelain (1790 and c. 1840) from I.N.A.'s involvement with the China trade are on display.
